"It is what it is
Life kibbling souls bit by bit"
This is the third stage that people undergo after entering the society. People are getting used to being gnawed by life bit by bit.

"Grinning
Smirking
Sniggering"
Finally, people stop bitching about life because they know it clear that it wont make a difference.
"Will you tell me anything about yourself?
Why do you refuse?
What is wanted?"
This are the three questions that Bartleby has been asked in Bartleby, the Scrivener: A Story of Wall Street. The questions that Bartleby is asked are like the questions, difficulties or dilemmas that people are eventually going to face at some point in their lives.
"I prefer not to
I prefer not to
At present I would prefer not to be a little reasonable
Relishing souls crumbling
It is what it is"
Unlike newbies, people in this stage have lost the interest and enthusiasm to cope with troubles. "I prefer not to" and "at present I would prefer not to be a little reasonable" are the replies that Bartleby has given in the book. Being passive aggressive towards life are the destination that people will one day reach to.
